Results of School Budget Vote - May 19, 2026

Announcement of Official Results for the May 19, 2026, Andover Central School District Budget Vote

We are pleased to announce the official results of the Andover Central School District's budget vote held on May 19, 2026. The community has come together to support the following propositions:

Proposition 1 – General Budget: Passed with 105 votes in favor and 25 against. The proposed budget of $12,500,000 for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, has been approved.

Proposition 2 – Bus Purchase: Passed with 110 votes in favor and 21 against. Approval to use up to $145,000 from the 2017 Bus Purchase Reserve Fund for a 65-passenger school bus was granted, with no impact on the tax levy.

Proposition 3 – Vehicle Purchase: Passed with 106 votes in favor and 23 against. Permission to spend up to $75,000 from the 2017 Bus Purchase Reserve Fund for an all-wheel/4-wheel drive passenger vehicle was given, with no tax levy impact.

Proposition 4 – Establishment of a Bus Purchase Reserve Fund: Passed with 107 votes in favor and 24 against. A new reserve fund, the “2026 Bus Purchase Reserve Fund,” has been established, with a cap of $1,500,000, to last up to ten years.

Proposition 5 – Library Support: Passed with 86 votes in favor and 45 against. The funding for the Andover Free Library will increase from $25,000 to $60,000, supported by the district’s tax levy.

Additionally, we are excited to welcome Mary J. Nevol and Jessica Hutchison as newly elected Board Members, each serving a three-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029.

  • Curriculum and Instruction: Evaluating and approving curricula that meet the diverse needs of our students and prepare them for future success.
  • Facilities Management: Overseeing the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to provide a safe and conducive learning environment.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation from parents, students, teachers, and community members to foster a collaborative educational community.
