👥⚖️ Allegany County Youth Court is looking for student volunteers, ages 11-17! This is a spooktacular opportunity to learn about the legal system, develop leadership and public speaking skills, and make a positive impact in your community. Volunteers can serve as judges, attorneys, jury members, and more! If you're interested in participating, please stop by the Counseling Office for more information! 🎃

 

💖📦 Our school is participating in GRATEFUL HEARTS GIVE BACK! One student, one item, one big difference. Through the month of November, we will be collecting non-food items for the Joyce Food Pantry. Imagine what we could do if every student brought just ONE item. Items to consider are baggies, paper towels, dish soap, cleaning supplies, toiletries, garbage bags, foil, plastic wrap, etc. The class that donates the most items will get a pizza party! 🍕 Every contribution is a way to help a neighbor. Items may be given to classroom teachers and homeroom teachers or advisors who will notify Ms. Beth Klein to collect them.

 

🎭🕒 The Drama Club will meet from 3:15-3:45 PM today in Room 145.

 

📈💸 It’s time to recognize our October Character Trait: Financial Stability! Nominations are due to Mrs. Odom by this Friday.

 

🎃👻 The Halloween Parade will begin at 1:45 PM tomorrow afternoon.

 

🎃🚗 Don’t miss Trunk or Treat from 5:00-7:00 PM tomorrow evening in the ACS front parking lot.

 

📚📅 The Scholastic Book Fair is creeping into ACS next week, November 2nd-6th, from 8:00 AM to 4 PM, Room 108.

 

📆🎉 The next Monthly Activity Period will take place next Wednesday, November 4th, during 2nd period.

 

🎓📝 Attention Juniors and Seniors, a SUNY Potsdam Admissions Rep will be here at 12:20 PM on Wednesday, November 4th. If you are interested in meeting with them, be sure to stop by the guidance office.

 

🎭🎟️ Attention Fine Arts Club Members! Presale tickets for our Broadway Nights Dinner Theater on Tuesday, November 17th, are now available! Please stop by and see Mrs. Jacobs to pick up tickets to sell to family, friends, and community members. Presale ticket sales run through November 9th. Let's spread the word and help make Broadway Nights a success! 🌟

 

🎭🍲 Join us for Broadway Nights Dinner Theater on Tuesday, November 17th, in the ACS Auditorium! This event is open to the entire community. Enjoy a delicious meal of soup, salad, and breadsticks before the show. Dinner begins at 6:00 PM, and the show starts at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $5 for the show only or $10 for dinner and the show. Presale tickets are available now through November 9th from any Fine Arts Club member. You may also contact Mrs. Jacobs at ejacobs@andovercsd.org for tickets. Checks should be made payable to the Andover Fine Arts Club.

 

🤼‍♂️🏆 The Alfred-Almond Andover Wrestling Team is looking for student-athletes in High School and Junior High (Modified) to join our squad this season! Open mat sessions will be held in the Alfred-Almond Elementary gymnasium from 3:30-5:00 on the following dates; 11/4, 11/5, 11/9 & 11/12. Sessions are open to any student in grades 7-12. Experience is not required.

 

⚽🍕 The Varsity Girls Soccer team will have an end of the season party from 3:45-4:45 PM today in Andover. Transportation will be provided back to Whitesville at 4:45 PM.

 

🍽️🧀 Today for lunch: Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup, Chicken Wrap, or Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
